Watch: Here's what you need to know about the Hawaii, Japan false missile alerts

First Hawaii and then Japan. Two accidental warnings of nuclear missiles in just a matter of days. It’s enough to make you wonder if there might be something more sinister than “human error” going on. Could the emergency warning systems have been hacked? And even if they weren’t, even if it was just coincidence, doesn’t this demonstrate a very real possibility that cyber attacks could happen?

Glenn broke out the chalkboard on the show today to share some of the stories you may not have gotten from the mainstream media. Did you know, for example, that the Hawaiian Emergency Alert Management Agency mistakenly broadcast the “top secret” EMS password to the entire world in July of last year?

How about the details regarding those two suspicious collisions between Navy and civilian ships last August? Could the ships have been hacked and sent off course? That’s exactly what a group of researchers from the University of Texas did with an $80 million yacht back in 2013. So, yes, it definitely can be done.

“We’re currently living in the next technological revolution,” said Glenn. “Ones and zeros are the biggest weapons of the near future, ones and zeros. We have to begin to look at the news in a different way because all of the old guard in New York and Los Angeles that are reporting the news … I don’t think there are very many people who are thinking out of the box and recognizing our enemies, and the new technology that they may be testing for the next war.”
