Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims US is under ‘no-holds-barred, Wild West hyper-capitalism’

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the 28-year-old democratic socialist candidate for Congress, appeared on PBS’s Firing Line last Friday to discuss the current economy in the U.S. You can probably guess how that conversation went.

The young, self-proclaimed socialist bashed capitalism, calling the country’s current system “no-holds-barred, Wild West hyper-capitalism.” She mentioned the unemployment rate and explained how socialism will change the game for America. Ocasio-Cortez went as far as to say, "Capitalism has not always existed in the world, and it will not always exist in the world."
