Harris County PROVES we MUST audit EVERY election

Alex Mealer is a combat vet, West Point grad, and election integrity activist who has a serious problem with the way elections are being handled — specifically in Harris County, Texas.

She joins Chad Prather to discuss why she’s working to get an audit done in her county and how we might get our elected officials to do something about election integrity.

“The audit’s already been authorized,” Mealer tells Prather, adding, “I’m just asking them to complete it in months, not years.

In 2020, there was supposed to be an extensive forensic audit. It wasn’t released until the month after Mealer’s election, which wasn’t helpful.

Mealer explains that because of Texas election code laws, there is no real requirement for preservation of evidence.

“So, Harris County, controlled by progressives, just didn’t turn over the records,” she says.

It took two years for the county to look into her audit, which she says at that point, there was “not much to actually be able to audit.” While they did find some “egregious violations,” the report said there wasn’t enough information to audit.

“You know,” she continues, “there’s no shortage of Republican politicians that are willing to be kind of the big man and make a tweet, but it’s like, you know, a teenage girl can tweet. What I need you to do is put the full weight and power of your office to affect some sort of change or action.”

“A lot of tweets, a lot of press releases, and then literally no follow-through in a way that would at all be effective,” she adds.

The election code is the law, she explains. “When you don’t follow the code, you don’t follow the law. Where different kind of people disagree is: what was the extent? What was the outcome?”
