FEELING THE FIZZLE? Crowds dwindle at Kamala Harris campaign rally in home state of California

When all else fails, attack President Trump

"Slightly Offens*ve" host Elijah Schaffer headed to the Los Angeles Southwest College campus to talk to supporters of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) at the Democratic presidential contender's campaign rally on Sunday.

Along with journalist Michael Lusso (@the_blackmic), Elijah asked rallygoers what they like about the former California attorney general and why they think she should be the next president of the United States.

"She's gonna do everything to take our democracy back from this fake president and corrupt Republicans," one woman said of Harris.

"It's important to have a woman of color. I think that's really important for our country right now," another offered.

Asked what he thinks of the job President Donald Trump is doing so far, one man replied, "He's been a liar. For the last two years, we are over 10,000 lies that he has told."

Several rally attendees cited their dislike for President Trump as the primary reason they support Harris.

"Trump inherited everything in his life, including the economy he got from Obama," one rallygoer asserted. "Including the billions of dollars he got from his parents. So I think that's where we are with that."

"Obama, he was presidential," a woman said. "Unlike now, I'm without a president."

Harris has structured her campaign speeches around the same anti-Trump rhetoric, replacing political policy with attacks on the president, including accusations about collusion with Russia, separating families at the border, and generally encouraging divisiveness.

Elijah questioned Harris' chances at defeating Trump in 2020, pointing out that the school's small gymnasium was only about half full compared to numerous events in which Trump has filled "entire stadiums" in the Los Angeles area. He also noted that California is Harris' home state and Los Angeles is "one of the most liberal cities in the entire country."
