The REAL reason ocean temperatures are rising, according to a NON-WOKE meteorologist

The left loves to foretell our fiery doom if we don’t take active measures against rising temperatures.

According to climate.gov, “Rising amounts of greenhouse gases,” especially those that are due to human activity, “are preventing heat radiated from Earth’s surface from escaping into space as freely as it used to. Most of the excess atmospheric heat is passed back to the ocean.”

This in turn causes an array of issues, including coral bleaching, melting glaciers, and harmful changes to marine life.

And it’s our responsibility to reduce our carbon footprint, save our oceans, and move toward a greener future.

Right?

Well, at least that’s the message that’s been shoved down our throats for the last several decades.

However, not everybody buys into the fearmongering, especially Joe Bastardi, a professional meteorologist and weather forecaster who has entirely rejected the scientific consensus on climate change.

According to Bastardi, the real reason for rising ocean temperatures has to do with something that’s “totally hidden” from the public eye.

There is a “direct correlation between underwater volcanic activity” and “sea surface temperatures ... going up,” he says.

Underwater volcanic activity has indeed increased, but this information is swept under the rug “like the Hunter Biden laptop,” he laughs.

“There’s no way that ... back radiation, what we call CO₂, [which] penetrates the top millimeter or two of the ocean, can possibly be warming the ocean so suddenly,” Bastardi assures.

He explains to Pat and Keith that “the oceans have 99% of the thermal bang for the buck.” Therefore, “1% is not going to push around 99%,” and certainly “0.042% of 1% is not going to push it around. Since man’s contribution to the CO₂ budget is only 0.03%,” there’s no chance human activity is causing ocean temperatures to rise as significantly as the left claims.

"Do you realize how small your carbon footprint actually is?” he asks.

“Tiny,” Pat agrees, “it’s tiny.”
