Kyle Rittenhouse celebrates 'awesome' plan to attend Texas A&M — there's just one problem

'It's going to be awesome!'

Kyle Rittenhouse appeared to tell podcast host Charlie Kirk that he would be attending Texas A&M University, but a university spokeswoman said that is not going to happen — at least not any time in the near future.

"So, I'm going to be going there [Texas A&M]. It's going to be awesome," Rittenhouse said during the "The Charlie Kirk Show" on Saturday. "Beautiful campus, amazing people, amazing food."

However, Texas A&M spokesperson Kelly Brown told the Houston Chronicle on Sunday that Rittenhouse "has not been admitted as a student this summer or fall."

UPDATE: Rittenhouse clarified in a tweet Monday that he plans to attend Blinn College, "a feeder school for Texas A&M" and is "excited to join Texas A&M in 2023."

Rittenhouse, who was acquitted last year of charges related to his fatal shooting of two men and wounding another during the Kenosha riot in Wisconsin, also made headlines over the weekend after he announced on Twitter that he was working with Todd McMurtry, one of the lawyers who successfully represented Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann in his defamation case against the Washington Post and other media companies.

Rittenhouse sat down with Glenn Beck on "Glenn TV" to talk about the terrible night in August 2020 that changed his entire life and his ambitions for the future.
