Would you eat these outrageous ballpark foods?

On Wednesday’s “Pat & Stu,” the guys looked at this year’s roundup of outrageous ballpark foods from major league ballparks from around the country, courtesy of Mental Floss. Some of the highlights included chicken fingers with mashed potatoes in a waffle cone, toasted grasshoppers with salt and a “churro dog,” which is a cinnamon churro inside a split donut “bun” topped with frozen yogurt and whipped cream.

At Citi Field, New York Mets fans can eat S’mores Bacon on a Stick, which obviously led to a discussion about bacon.

“I’m less enthused about the bacon with sweet things,” Pat Gray said. “That doesn’t thrill me.”

Jeffy Fisher thought he had discovered a new bacon treat. “We got some new stuff at the house that I tried this weekend called Beggin’ Strips,” he said.

“Those are dog treats, Jeffy,” Pat said.

Safeco Field in Seattle had an even less appetizing treat: Oaxacan chapulines, aka toasted grasshoppers.

Stu was not pleased. “No, that’s bugs. That’s a bunch of bugs.”

“That’s not good,” Pat asserted. “Why would you do that? Seriously, toasted grasshoppers with chili-lime salt seasoning? Who is going to eat that?”
