Today's ruling: Should you be held liable for encouraging someone's suicide?

Michelle Carter was found guilty today of voluntary manslaughter. In 2014 she sent her boyfriend Conrad Roy III a series of text messages encouraging him to kill himself; he was already known to be suicidally depressed. He was 18 when he followed through.

Lawrence Jones, TheBlaze contributor and frequent Fox News guest, joined Chris Salcedo today on “The Chris Salcedo Show” today to discuss this and other issues in the news which have legal ramifications.

Also on the table was the possible investigation of President Donald Trump for obstruction of justice – though this news comes from anonymous sources yet again. Jared Kusher, Trump’s son-in-law, is being represented by Jaime Gorelick as he has also been accused of untoward ties to Russia.

Chris and Lawrence felt the timing of focusing on this investigation again is suspect considering the horrific events of this week and former FBI director James Comey’s testimony last week, which seemed to exonerate Trump of accusations of presidential collusion with Russia. They also wondered if Special Counsel Robert Mueller needs to recuse himself, as he has a personal friendship with Comey.

To see more from Chris, visit his channel on TheBlaze and listen live to “The Chris Salcedo Show” weekdays 2–5 p.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
