The London attack demonstrates that gun control isn’t the answer to violence

Standing in for Glenn Beck on Monday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program,” Mike Broomhead discussed the latest terrorist attacks in London. “There are people that hate our way of life,” he explained.

Terrorists killed three people and injured 28 on Saturday night in London, targeting pedestrians on London Bridge and people at nearby Borough Market. The attackers drove a van into pedestrians crossing the bridge, then jumped out to stab people with knives at Borough Market, which has restaurants and bars. Because gun control laws are extremely strict, London police officers and residents aren't allowed to carry.

Mike talked about terrorists’ new M.O., which is to use ordinary objects to kill as many people as possible. Gun control clearly wasn’t the answer to violence because terrorists are now using vehicles to kill people. Do we next outlaw cars and trucks?

A van doesn’t need to be hidden like a gun or a bomb, Mike explained. The inspiration for terrorism isn’t violent video games, guns, trucks or the internet; terrorists decide that they want to murder anyone who doesn’t agree with them. Gun control and censorship won’t stop them when they use everyday vehicles to hurt people.
