Planned Parenthood cites ‘right to live’ as reason to keep DACA

Planned Parenthood has used the backlash against President Donald Trump’s decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program to try to get more of your money. Ironically enough, President Cecile Richards said in a fundraising email that she was “heartbroken” for a key reason.

“Here at Planned Parenthood, we firmly believe that every person has the right to live, work, and raise a family freely and without the threat of deportation or separation,” she wrote. A “right to live,” huh? Doc Thompson and Keith Malinak wondered why the president of America’s abortion giant can’t see the irony on Wednesday’s “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson.”

“Planned Parenthood stands with dreamers,” Richards wrote in the letter.

“I’m no scientist, and I haven’t studied this,” Keith said on Wednesday’s show. “Are you able to dream if you’re dead?”

DACA, a program instated by executive order under President Barack Obama, provides protections for people who were brought illegally to the U.S. before age 16, have not been convicted of a felony and fulfill several other guidelines. On Tuesday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the end of DACA, while Trump in a tweet gave Congress a six-month deadline to “legalize DACA” before he takes action. Around 800,000 illegal immigrants have been shielded from deportation by the program.
