Obama endorsed the new French president

Emmanuel Macron won the election in France yesterday. Today on "Pure Opelka," Mike Opelka exposed a foreign government meddling in their election...and it wasn't Russia.

Former president Barack Obama said in a video released just before voting began that he was "not planning to get involved in many elections now that I don't have to run for office again," but he's made an exception for the French election.

He then said he was supporting Macron because he reflects "the values that we care so much about." He later defines those values as "liberal," stating "[Macron] appeals to people's hopes, and not their fears."

Angela Merkel also endorsed Macron, hoping to stave off a "Frexit" or French exit from the European Union. Marine Le Pen of the National Front party held a "France first" position.

Britain voted to leave the E.U. last June. Mike agreed with Merkel that the loss of France would most likely end the E.U.
