Mike Slater dissects how to read the news in an era of anonymous sources

Anonymous sources sometimes turn out to be false, but large media outlets seem to be relying heavily on them of late. On "The Mike Slater Show" this weekend, Mike Slater went over The Federalist senior editor Mollie Hemmingway's Tips for Washington Post Stories About Trump Based on Anonymous Leaks.

The Washington Post was cited specifically due to their recent embarrassing reliance on a source "close to the White House." They reported that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had threatened to resign, but he has since stated unequivocally that he had not.

Mike added his own advice to Hemmingway's comprehensive guide to reading any news story: let stories sit. Even the best news outlets often have incomplete information in the beginning.
