Woman accused of repeatedly raping her daughter's ex-boyfriend when he was still in high school: 'Very manipulative and controlling'

A woman in Oklahoma has been arrested after allegations surfaced that she conducted a sexual relationship with a male that began while he was just a sophomore in high school.

The alleged victim, now 21 years old and in a California rehab facility, recently penned a letter to Moore Public Schools, claiming that, in 2017, he entered into a sexual relationship with 45-year-old Jennifer Jean Hawkins, a long-time cheer coach for the district located just south of Oklahoma City. He claimed he first met Hawkins when he began dating Hawkins' daughter, who is his age.

In August 2017, the man claimed that he and Hawkins had been watching a soccer game on TV when she reached over and placed her hand on his penis. She then performed a sex act on him and afterward claimed that the then-16-year-old "would remember that soccer match for the rest of his life," the affidavit said.

That incident supposedly escalated to a five-year sexual relationship. The alleged victim claimed that Hawkins picked him up from Southmoore High School "almost every day" at lunch time, brought him back to her residence in Oklahoma City, and had sex with him, the affidavit said. When interviewed, the victim supposedly estimated to police that he and Hawkins had had sex more than 300 times. The victim called Hawkins "very manipulative and controlling."

District officials spoke with Hawkins shortly after they had received the victim's letter. Though Hawkins admitted to officials that the male in question had lived with her and her family "until ties were cut ... in October of 2022," she initially denied all the accusations of an improper sexual relationship. However, she soon afterward "began crying and admitted to" all the allegations. When asked how many times she and the victim had had sex, she replied, "No clue," a response which others interpreted to mean "numerous times," the affidavit said.

Earlier this week, Cleveland County prosecutors announced that they had charged Hawkins with one count of second-degree rape and one count of sexual battery. MPS also announced that it "released" Hawkins from her position as cheer coach, a position which she had held for two decades.

"Moore Public Schools recently learned of an allegation of inappropriate contact between an outside athletic coach and a student that occurred in the past. We immediately contacted the Oklahoma City Police Department, and a report was filed. The coach was immediately released from their duties," the MPS statement said.
