Transgender activists are outraged at actress Mindy Kaling for 'liking' a tweet from author JK Rowling

Transgender activists and their supporters went on the warpath against actress Mindy Kaling after she "liked" a tweet from J.K. Rowling responding to a troll online.

The furor broke out after Rowling mocked her detractors in a tweet referring to the wealth she had garnered from authoring the mega-popular "Harry Potter" book series. Rowling has been a target for transgender activists after she made several statements departing from the politically correct narrative pushed by the transgender movement.

A critic wrote to Rowling: "how do you sleep at night knowing you've lost a whole audience from buying your books."

"I read my most recent royalty cheques and find the pain goes away pretty quickly," she responded.

The mocking response went viral and garnered more than 300k likes, but it was not liked by transgender activists who assailed Kaling for the politically incorrect click.

"I think it’s safe to assume Mindy Kaling knew exactly what she was doing when she liked JK Rowling’s tweet," replied activist Saira Rao, who previously said all Republicans are Nazis.

"People are truly surprised that in the year of our lord 2022 Mindy Kaling is trash?" read another response. "The woman has made a career on self hating Indian girls and women who fall for white boys."

"Rowling’s gloating is gross enough. STOP buying the books, don’t watch the movies when they’re on tv, don’t go to the parks. Don’t give her a red cent. And @mindykaling, what the f*** is wrong with you," read another tweet.

"Mindy Kaling been a Brown white supremacist. Terf shouldn't shock a single adult on this app," replied another critic, who referred to the acronym for "transgender exclusionary radical feminist," an insult used by transgender activists.

Transgender activists similarly targeted actor Robbie Coltrane for bitter vituperation after he died on Friday. Coltrane played a beloved character in the "Harry Potter" movies and once defended Rowling from transgender critics.
