RFK Jr. calls for a 'real investigation' into Joe Biden and his family's foreign dealings

Republicans are not alone in their desire for transparency regarding President Joe Biden's alleged involvement in an international influence peddling scheme. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the president's top Democratic rival, similarly wants to get to the truth of the matter.

Fox News' Maria Bartiromo broached the subject of "corruption in government" on "Sunday Morning Futures," alluding to the House Oversight Committee's recent acquisition of additional evidence detailing the Biden family's finances as well as the alleged assertion by a corrupt Burisma executive, detailed in the FBI's unclassified FD-1023 document, that "it costs 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden."

Bartiromo further intimated that it is not yet clear what American advantage, policy, or product Biden might have sold abroad in exchange for all the money that ultimately poured into his family's coffers.

While admitting he has previously dammed back criticism concerning Biden in the interest of "bringing people together," Kennedy, sitting around 16 points in the latest Harvard-Harris poll, said that the issues surrounding the Biden family are "now worrying enough that we really need a real investigation of what happened."

"These revelations ... where you have Burisma, which is a notoriously corrupt company that paid out, apparently, $10 million to Hunter and his dad — if that's true, then it is really troubling," said Kennedy. "It needs to be investigated."

The House Oversight Committee has been doggedly looking into Biden's alleged lucrative dealings with foreign nationals while vice president.

Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said in a Monday statement, "Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he knew nothing about his son’s business dealings. Evidence continues to be revealed that Joe Biden was very much involved in his family’s corrupt influence peddling schemes and he likely benefited financially. This includes deals with a corrupt Ukrainian oligarch and a CCP-linked energy company that generated millions for the Bidens and undermined American interests."

TheBlaze previously reported that contrary to Joe Biden's claim ahead of the 2020 presidential election that he had never spoken to his son about his overseas business dealings, Hunter Biden's longtime business partner and former best friend Devon Archerwill likely testify this week to how he was witness to at least two dozen instances where then-Vice President Biden involved himself in his son's schemes with foreign nationals.

Comer has stressed that "Joe Biden and his family put themselves first and Americans last, but corporate media and the Justice Department continue to cover up for the Bidens."

Bartiroma made a similar claim when speaking to Kennedy, suggesting that holding Biden accountable may be particularly hard when the "DOJ is getting in front of any real investigation."

Kennedy agreed, saying, "that's something that every American needs to worry about that our federal agencies, which used to be above politics, have now become weaponized as political instruments. And that, again, is another really damaging trend for our democracy."

Republican Reps. Anna Paulina Luna (Fla.), Jim Banks (Ind.), Lauren Boebert (Co.), and others have called for Biden's impeachment.

Failing that, Kennedy might have at least been able to rake Biden over the coals in a Democratic primary debate — which 80% of Democratic voters would like to see according to a USA Today/Suffolk University poll revealed last month — however, the deeply unpopular president is unwilling to go toe-to-toe with his leading foe.
