Report: University of Florida College of Medicine is 'indoctrinating' its students with 'destructive' diversity initiatives

The University of Florida College of Medicine incorporated equity and "anti-racism" initiatives into its doctor of medicine program, according to a report obtained by Fox News Digital.

The report by Do No Harm, a national association of medical professionals dedicated to protecting the health care system from woke ideology, accused the university's College of Medicine of "indoctrinating its medical school graduates in divisive philosophies and other forms of social justice activism."

The report noted that the indoctrination begins as soon as a prospective student starts looking into the school and continues throughout the admissions process and the degree program.

UFCOM's Diversity Statement declares that it "will continually strive to promote, support and actively enhance the recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups to its student body, residency training programs, faculty and staff positions, in conjunction with the education in cultural humility of all trainees and healthcare providers."

The university's Code of Ethics asks students to pledge to several anti-racism and diversity, equity, and inclusion statements, including "foster a just and inclusive community by speaking out against social injustice, racism, prejudice, and inequity." It also asks students to "acknowledge and minimize our implicit and explicit biases as we relate to others."

According to the report, the university invested more than $2.1 million in DEI and critical race theory projects. Specifically, it spent $1 million hiring faculty members' spouses or partners, $740,000 expanding its diversity office, and $400,000 on racial justice research.

"The University of Florida invests abundant resources in these programs and retains administrators and faculty members who are paid to push these destructive ideas," the Do No Harm report stated.

The school's 2021 equity report notes that administrators may have "diversity and equity accomplishments evaluated in their annual evaluations."

"UFCOM needs to return to instilling the art of healing into its graduates, rather than seeking to reshape society and "transform" the healthcare industry with discriminatory activism," the report concluded.

The dean's office at UFCOM did not respond to a request for comment, Fox News Digital reported.
