Meghan Trainor apologizes for saying 'F*** teachers!' while talking about homeschooling on her podcast

Pop singer Meghan Trainor posted a video on social media apologizing for comments she made on her podcast against teachers.

Trainor was responding to her guest saying that she had chosen to homeschool her child.

"F*** that. Everyone on TikTok is," Trainor said.

"They're like, this is what it's like to have a kid in school in America. I have a bullet-proof backpack? I was like, 'f*** all that," she added.

Her guest responded that she pulled her kids out of schools because the other kids were mean and teachers could also be bullies.

"Teachers! F*** teachers, dude!" Trainor responded.

Trainor was lambasted by an enormous number of critics in the comment section of YouTube who were disappointed by her insult against teachers.

She later posted a video on TikTok explaining that she did not mean to insult all teachers when she made the comments on her podcast.

"Teachers of TikTok and teachers of the world. I recently said ‘F teachers,’ on the podcast," she said.

"And it's not how I feel. I was fired up because we were talking about how sending your kid to school, here, in America, is so horrific. And what all of us have to go through, but especially teachers, is not normal and not okay," Trainor added.

She said she was thinking about specific incidents her husband and her guest with bad teachers but that she didn't intend to insult all teachers.

"In that moment, I got angry and said ‘F teachers - F those specific human beings back in the day.' But I did not mean that to all teachers. I love teachers. I fight for teachers," Trainor added.

"I think they have the hardest job and they're the most underpaid. They're the most unappreciated, when they literally raise all of us," she continued.

Some educators responded on social media that they did not accept her apology.

"I find her statement/apology uninformed and demeaning to all of us who pour into our students every single day our love, knowledge, money and souls," read one tweet. "Miss me with your fakeness, meggy."
