Joe Biden snaps at 'Today' host Savannah Guthrie over Hunter-Burisma question: 'You don't know what you're talking about!'

Ouch!

Former Vice President and presidential candidate Joe Biden snapped at "Today" co-anchor Savannah Guthrie on Monday morning after she asked him about the Burisma scandal surrounding his son, Hunter Biden.

What are the details?

During the interview, Guthrie asked the 77-year-old Biden whether he believed that his son's controversies in dealings with Ukraine have affected the Democratic presidential candidate's campaign.

Guthrie said that President Donald Trump's impeachment proceedings highlighted the scrutiny on Hunter's job at Burisma, a Ukrainian natural gas company, and pointed out that Hunter's alleged dealings were placed on the forefront.

During the impeachment proceedings, House and Senate Republicans "ensured that everyone knows" about Hunter's role at Burisma.

"That's a good thing," the presidential candidate fired back. "No one's found anything wrong with his dealings in Ukraine except they said that it's a 'bad image.'"

He agreed that the appearance of Hunter's role on the Burisma board did not look very good, but insisted that Guthrie didn't know what she was talking about anyway.

Guthrie asked if Biden believed it was inappropriate that Hunter accepted the position on the Ukrainian board as the company allegedly wanted access to information from the Obama administration.

"Do you think it was wrong for him to take that position knowing it was really because that company wanted access to you?" she asked the presidential candidate.

“That's not true," he snapped. “You're saying things you do not know what you're talking about. No one said that. Who said that?"

Undaunted, Guthrie said that many people in the political world believed that it was "kind of sleazy" that Hunter accepted the job. She also wondered why Burisma would hire Hunter when he had no previous experience in the field, to which Biden responded, "Because he's a very bright guy."

Hunter, who has a well-known history of drug and alcohol abuse, was discharged from the Navy in 2013 after abusing drugs.

He took the position on Burisma's board in 2014 while his father was still President Barack Obama's vice president.
