Jean-Pierre refuses to comment on the Bidens receiving money from Chinese energy company: 'I don't even know where to begin to answer'

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer a question about bank records showing millions of dollars going from a Chinese energy company going to Biden family members.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy confronted the press secretary during Wednesday's White House media briefing.

"House Oversight says they have bank records showing a Chinese energy company paying three Biden family members through a third party. What were they paid for?" asked Doocy.

“Look, I’m just not going to respond to that from here. Look, we have heard from House Republicans for years and years and years how, how, the inaccuracies and lies when it comes to this issue,” Jean-Pierre said.

“And I don’t even know where to begin to even answer that question,” Jean-Pierre added. "Because, again, it’s been lies and lies and inaccuracy for the past couple of years and I’m just not going to get into it from here."

Republican House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer of Kentucky accused Jean-Pierre of lying about the bank records the committee had released.

“Jean-Pierre claims she doesn’t know where to begin when confronted with the facts of our investigation. She can start with the bank records we obtained showing a Chinese energy company paying members of the Biden family over $1 million through an associate,” Comer told the New York Post.

“Bank records don’t lie,” he said.

“The fact that President Biden and his press secretary continue to be dishonest with the American people about the Biden family’s shady business schemes is alarming," Comer concluded. "The House Oversight Committee will continue to pursue answers, transparency and accountability for the American people.”

The payments were made to three family members of President Joe Biden a few months after he left office in 2017 as vice president. Biden denied the accusations when pressed by reporters.
