Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York impressively managed to do three reps lifting what he indicated was a whopping 405 pounds.

The left-wing lawmaker pumped out two reps, then struggled a bit on the third before completing it.

He shared video footage of the feat on social media, tweeting, "Be sure to always center your health and well-being as we fight to save democracy and humanity. 3 reps of 405 and I'm ready to go!"

People on social media were impressed.

"There is a very good chance Bowman is physically the strongest politician in the federal government," someone tweeted in response to the congressman's post.

"This is absurdly strong. Never would’ve guessed Jamaal Bowman can lift this much," another commenter noted.

"Yikes. Right before the pandemic I got 315 up times and I thought I was diesel. But I'm lil man compared to this. Strong moves congressman!" someone else declared.

Someone else lamented that the lawmaker was not wearing a mask while lifting. "I appreciate Congressman Bowman but a large part of centering your health and the health of others would be wearing a high quality mask. I wish our representatives were better on this issue," the person tweeted.

A July 4 tweet on Bowman's @RepBowman account stated, "This July 4th, we must remember that we stand on stolen land toiled by enslaved Africans and recommit ourselves to the fight for freedom, equality, & justice so that these ideals are accessible to everyone, not just a privileged few. We are not free until everyone is truly free."
