Florida woman stabs herself in gut three times because she was ‘tired of living in Trump’s country'

Although "Florida woman" isn't quite as famous as "Florida man," the contest for worst decision-maker is still very much alive in the state. In the latest effort to overcome the facepalm gap between the genders, a woman in Palmetto stabbed herself in the stomach with a kitchen knife over the fact that Trump is President.

Website The Smoking Gun posted the police report this week, which described the scene. Police found the woman, who is not named, standing outside her home with "blood all over" her "legs, hands, and face."

Noting that no weapons were observed, the officer asked the woman to lift her shirt, which revealed she had three stab wounds in her gut that were still bleeding.

The report says the woman "stated 'I'm tired of living in Trump's country, I'm tired of Trump being President.'"

It continued, with the officer repeating she "told me she had stabbed herself because she does not want to live in Trumps country." The officer and EMS believed there was a substantial risk she would harm herself or others further without treatment.

The police cleared the residence while she was being treated and the officer observed "a large amount of blood on the floor of the residence in the kitchen, bathroom, and living room."

The woman has been treated for self-harm in the past under Florida's Baker Act, under which a person can be involuntarily committed to care where such self-harm or other circumstances are involved.
