Don Lemon reveals he listens to Ben Shapiro and Patrick Bet-David now, recommends podcast with Chet Hanks

Don Lemon revealed his holiday recommendations for what readers should stream over the Christmas break, and his list surprisingly revealed suggestions that included conservatives Ben Shapiro and Patrick Bet David.

The editors of Puck, a media company that focuses on Hollywood, Wall Street, Silicon Valley, and Washington, D.C., featured the former CNN anchor in the outlet's "non-denominational holiday gift recommendations" guide.

"Since leaving corporate media I cut the cord," Lemon began. "I have an extensive, eclectic streaming palate now," he continued before revealing his recommendations.

First, Lemon noted Showtime series "Fellow Travelers," a show that "centers on the decades-long romance" between two gay men in the 1950s.

Then, Lemon recommended business mogul Patrick Bet-David's "PBD Podcast," which he described as "very conservative." The pundit then noted that he also listens to "The Ben Shapiro Show" because he wants to "hear his take on Israel."

Rounding out some of his other streaming suggestions were "Piers Morgan Uncensored," which Lemon labeled "very real, authentic conversations you don’t get in corporate media," and "The Adam Friedland Show."

"Smart, irreverent, funny; download the Chet Hanks episode for evidence," Lemon said of the podcast.

Friedland is a stand-up comedian who hosts other comics, celebrities, and, in Lemon's recommended episode, Chet Hanks. The sometimes forgotten and controversial son of Tom Hanks, Chet is an off-the-wall character who often speaks with a patois accent.

During the episode in question, Hanks stated that he believes Donald Trump is going to win the 2024 election after he heard rappers Future and Lil Baby were spotted with the former president.

"He's gonna win, dude," Hanks stated.

Lemon was fired by CNN after 17 years in April 2023 and said that he didn't even receive a call from management.

"I was informed [that] morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN,” Lemon said, according to SCNR. "I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly," he continued.

"At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear that there are some larger issues at play," Lemon added.

Other special guests for the holiday guide included actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who recommended a cardigan she was seen wearing during a recent court case.
