Chris Pratt to remarry; reports predict ‘religious wedding’: ‘God is going to be a part of this marriage’

Actor Chris Pratt proposed to his girlfriend of seven months, Katherine Schwarzenegger, and reports say that the two will have a religious wedding.

Schwarzenegger, 29, is the daughter of actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist Maria Shriver.

This will be Pratt's second marriage and Schwarzenegger's first. Pratt was previously married to actress Anna Faris from 2009 to 2018. The former couple have a 6-year-old son, Jack.

Pratt, 39, revealed the proposal in a Monday Instagram post.

He shared a photograph of the two, and captioned it, "Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I'm thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!"

Schwarzenegger shared the same photo on her Instagram page, captioning it, "My sweet love. Wouldn't want to live this life with anyone but you."

According to a Wednesday report in People, the couple's wedding will be religious, according to both party's beliefs.

"They're going to want a religious wedding," an unnamed source told the outlet. "I know that Chris does, and I assume that she does, too. God is going to be a part of this marriage."

Another source said that the wedding could be this summer, and that both Pratt and Schwarzenegger are eager to tie the knot.

"They are one of those rare couples that you root for from the beginning," the source added. "It won't be a long engagement — Katherine has already talked about having a summer 2019 wedding."

The source also sang praises of Schwarzenegger's strong faith.

"[Pratt] is constantly around other people who have no faith, or are apologetic about it, but not [Schwarzenegger]," the source said. "She is willing to talk about it to anyone who will listen."

Did Pratt talk to her parents?

A previous People report noted that Pratt asked Schwarzenegger's parents for their daughter's hand in marriage and has been "very traditional about things."

"Chris has been very straightforward about his intentions from the beginning," the source added. "Over the last few months, he's been bonding with all of Katherine's siblings and it was clear to her entire family they would get married."
