People point out the glaringly obvious after Biden claims he's dedicated to doing all he can to address the fentanyl death crisis

A post on X in which President Joe Biden claimed that he is dedicated to doing all he can to tackle the crisis of fentanyl deaths has been slammed by a tsunami of people pointing out that he should secure the border.

"Deaths from fentanyl are an American tragedy that requires global action. I'm committed to doing everything I can to control this crisis – from expanding prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery, to working with Chinese, Mexican, and Canadian partners to tackle this," the post on the @POTUS account declared.

The Biden administration is often criticized in connection with the nation's ongoing border crisis, including the problem of drugs flowing into the U.S. from Mexico, and the post elicited a deluge of responses in which people pointed out that the president should close America's border.

"You're not doing 'everything [you] can' to keep fentanyl out when you refuse to do the one thing that would stop it," Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah tweeted in response to post on the @POTUS X account.

GOP Rep. Eli Crane of Arizona replied to Lee's post with the bull's-eye emoji, apparently indicating his agreement.

"Every but the ragingly obvious; Close The Border, Biden!" Republican Rep. Derrick Van Orden of Wisconsin declared.

In a brief but profanity-laced tweet, Roseanne Barr told the president, "Close the f*****g border then, dips**t."

"Hey here's a thought! CLOSE. THE. BORDER," Caitlyn Jenner wrote.

"You just kissed the a** of Xi Jinping, who is sending the fentanyl across your wide open border to kill us. Sit TF down," Monica Crowley tweeted.
