Trump calls Ocasio-Cortez a 'Wack Job' over viral video of supporter yelling about 'eating babies' at AOC rally

AOC demanded people stop making fun of her

President Donald Trump mocked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) over a bizarre video that went viral from her town hall event.

"AOC is a Wack Job!" he tweeted in response to a tweet from his son, Donald Trump Jr., with the video of a woman yelling that the only hope for defeating climate change was for people to start "eating babies."

The video shows a woman at the town hall event for Ocasio-Cortez and make the modest proposal.

"So I think your next campaign slogan has to be this, we got to start eating babies!" she said emphatically.

"We don't have enough time! There's too much CO2, All of you, you know you're pollutant, too much CO2!" she added, turning to the audience.

"We have to start now, please! You are so great!" she said, motioning to Ocasio-Cortez.

"Even if we bomb Russia, we have too much people, too much pollution!" she continued. "We have to get rid of the babies! ... We need to eat the babies!"

Donald Trump Jr. joked from his Twitter account about the video, saying, "Seems like a normal AOC supporter to me."

Others on social media pointed to extreme statements by Ocasio-Cortez about global warming that might have led to the outburst.

Ocasio-Cortez responded by asking people not to mock the woman, saying she might be suffering from a mental illness.

"This person may have been suffering from a mental condition and it's not okay that the right-wing is mocking her and potentially make her condition or crisis worse," she tweeted. "Be a decent human being and knock it off."
