'F*** Alito!' Former Democratic Sen. Al Franken drops f-bombs about Supreme Court justices

Demonstrating an utter dearth of decorum, former U.S. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) dropped f-bombs in a profane tweet targeting multiple Supreme Court justices.

Franken unleashed the vitriolic attack against Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, John Roberts, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett, six figures who are widely regarded as the court's conservative contingent. All six were nominated by Republican presidents.

"F*** Alito! Sometimes profanity is appropriate. For example, on the anniversary of the Dobbs decision. So… also f*** Thomas, Roberts, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Coney Barett. But especially Alito. VOTE! #RoevWade," Franken tweeted on Saturday.

Franken resigned from the Senate in late 2017 after women made accusations against him. A now-infamous photo shows Franken smiling for the camera with his fingers positioned either on or over the flak jacket on a woman's chest while she was sleeping.

Franken has said he regrets resigning from office.

Last year, leftists were incensed that the Supreme Court returned to states the full authority to determine whether to ban abortions. The opinion marked a massive win for the pro-life movement, but Democrats decried the ruling as a "dark day" for the country.

"Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives," the opinion reads.

Chief Justice Roberts indicated that he did not think the high court should have completely overturned Roe and Casey when making the ruling.
