Chris Noth, who has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women, will not be filming any more episodes of 'The Equalizer'

CBS and Universal Television said in a statement that actor Chris Noth will not be filming any more episodes of the CBS television show "The Equalizer."

Noth had played a recurring character on the television show that stars actress Queen Latifah.

"Chris Noth will no longer film additional episodes of The Equalizer, effective immediately," CBS and Universal Television said in the statement, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Noth will be in one more episode of the program that has already finished production, the outlet noted.

The news comes as Noth denies allegations of sexual assault that have been brought against him by several women.

The Hollywood Reporter has previously reported allegations made by two women. One of the women alleges that the assault occurred in New York in 2015, and the other person alleges that the actor assaulted her in Los Angeles in 2004.

"The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false," Noth said in a statement to the outlet. "These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women."

The Daily Beast reported on yet another woman who says that Noth sexually assaulted her in 2010. The Los Angeles Times reported that a spokesperson for Noth denied the allegation.

"The story is a complete fabrication, and the alleged accounts detailed throughout read like a piece of bad fiction,” the spokesperson said in a statement, according to the Times.
