Report: Kimberly Guilfoyle leaving Fox News so she can campaign with Donald Trump Jr.

A Friday report by CNN stated that Fox News' Kimberly Guilfoyle was planning on leaving the network to hit the campaign trail with Donald Trump Jr.

According to CNN, Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. are gearing up for the 2018 midterm elections.

The outlet notes that Guilfoyle will likely join pro-Trump non-profit organization, America First Politics. CNN did not note when Guilfoyle was reportedly planning to make her exit from Fox.

CNN reported that a "second source said that donors for the group had been actively trying to recruit" Guilfoyle.

The news was initially reported by Vanity Fair's Gabriel Sherman on Twitter.

Early Friday morning, Sherman wrote, "Per 3 sources briefed on matter, Don Jr’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle is leaving Fox News. More details TK."

Andrew Surabian, a spokesperson for Trump Jr. tweeted celebratory remarks about the notion of Guilfoyle joining Trump Jr. on the campaign trail.

Surabian wrote, "Having @kimguilfoyle on the trail campaigning with @DonaldJTrumpJr for Republicans this fall is a win for the entire GOP. Kim is one of the most influential voices in the #MAGA movement and knows how to light up a crowd."

Guilfoyle herself has yet to publicly comment on the report, or on Surabian's tweet apparently confirming that she would be joining Trump Jr. for the 2018 midterm elections.

Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle have reportedly been seeing one another since Trump Jr. split with his ex-wife of 12 years, Vanessa, in March.
