Like you're surprised?

Planned Parenthood of New York City — claiming Big Apple residents "have more sex than anyone else in America. (Woo! We did it!)" — wants to "make sure that everyone has access to the sexual and reproductive health care services they need."

To that end, the organization launched a fundraising campaign this week aimed at millennials — and it broadcasts its intent in no uncertain terms: "Protect our freedom to f***."

'Proud to provide abortion services'

Planned Parenthood of New York City noted that in addition to being "proud to provide abortion services," donations "will go toward ensuring all New Yorkers have access to the vital services they need, like birth control, STD testing and treatment, HIV testing and counseling, vasectomies, and pregnancy testing and counseling. ... And we can’t forget sex education on consent, LGBTQ inclusivity, and healthy relationships."

Its oh-so-woke video ad features a diverse cast of rather perturbed characters in varied locations around the big city — sidewalks, chess table, bar, office, rooftop, park bench, exiting a limo, laundromat, bed (of course), theater dressing room — who drop F-bombs with every uttered phrase.

It has to be seen to be believed. (Content warning: Do you really need a content warning?)

Interestingly the clip depicts two couples who appear to be same-sex while featuring no apparent heterosexual couples. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

It ends with the plea, "Protect our right to safely f*** whoever the f*** we want."

OK, then.

'Celebratory in the face of massive opposition'

Gerard Caputo, CEO of BBH NY CCO — the agency behind the ad campaign — told AdWeek that the organization "had to be brave and make fearless decisions to overcome their daunting challenges. So our first goal was getting them to embrace that. Which they certainly did.”

He added to the outlet that Planned Parenthood of New York City “wanted to be celebratory in the face of massive opposition rather than plead their case in a typical PSA campaign that’s easy to ignore. ‘Freedom to F***’ is meant to speak to a younger generation more empowered than ever and hopefully willing to help. It all starts with the courage to do something different and we believe we have already succeeded.”
