Official White House tweets 'trolling' Democrats are being called ethically 'questionable

Outrage ensued from many on the left over tweets from the official White House account that were called ethically and legally "questionable."

Here are the unconscionable tweets

The tweets from the White House criticized Senators Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) for their policy preferences on illegal immigration.

"[Senator Kamala Harris,]" the tweet asked, "why are you supporting the animals of MS-13? You must not know what ICE really does."

A link was posted in the tweet about the criminal acts of members of the deadly and vicious MS-13 gang. A similar tweet targeted Senator Warren for criticism.

"[Senator Warren,]" it read, "why are you supporting criminals moving weapons, drugs, and victims across our nation’s borders? You must not know what ICE really does."

Both Warren and Harris have called for the "abolishment" of the department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

President Donald Trump has defended the department via his social media account, from the growing chorus on the left to disband the office.

"The Democrats are making a strong push to abolish ICE," the president tweeted, "one of the smartest, toughest and most spirited law enforcement groups of men and women that I have ever seen."

"I have watched ICE liberate towns from the grasp of MS-13 & clean out the toughest of situations," he added. "They are great!"

Legally and ethically 'questionable.'

NBC journalist Andrea Mitchell called the tweets legally and ethically "questionable," and claimed the characterizations of the policies extolled by Warren and Harris were incorrect.

Former Obama administration advisor Dan Pfeiffer called the tweet "disgusting," while MSNBC editor Dafna Linzer said it was "stunning" that the account was "smearing" a U.S. senator.

Liberal hypocrisy?

Some pointed out that the White House account committed similar acts of social media atrocity under former President Barack Obama.

In a tweet from 2015 archived at the Obama era version of the social media account, the White House account mocked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) over Obamacare.
