Melania releases cryptic statement on Giuliani - and whether she believes Stormy Daniels

Rudy Giuliani made headlines Wednesday when he claimed that he knew first lady Melania Trump believed her husband, President Trump, and not Stormy Daniels' claims of an extramarital affair. The first lady has responded Thursday.

Here's what Melania's spokesperson said

"I don't believe Mrs. Trump has ever discussed her thoughts on anything with Mr. Giuliani," said Stephanie Grisham, her communications director.

The cryptic statement was not a complete denial of the statement Giuliani made, but it was a rebuke to his claim to know anything about what the first lady believed.

Giuliani said Wednesday, "She believes her husband and she doesn't think it's true," referring to the first lady and accusations from the adult film star against the president.

“Tell me what damage she suffered”

The former New York City mayor was speaking at the "Globes" Capital Market Conference in Israel. He continued on to attack Daniels' character based on her career choices.

"I respect women — beautiful women and women with value — but a woman who sells her body for sexual exploitation I don't respect," Giuliani said. "Tell me what damage she suffered."

"Someone who sells his or her body for money has no good name," he concluded.
