Former Clinton staffer's PAC erects billboard in Florida slamming NRA as 'terrorist organization

A new billboard erected in Pensacola, Florida, last week targets the National Rifle Association and levels a baseless claim against the pro-Second Amendment organization.

What happened?

The billboard, which features a plain black background with white text, slams the NRA as a "terrorist organization.

"The NRA is a terrorist organization," the sign says. The bottom of the sign says it was paid for Mad Dog PAC, an organization that erects anti-GOP, anti-NRA, anti-Trump billboards nationwide. The sign, nor the organization behind it, offered any evidence to support its claim.

Apparently, Mad Dog PAC is a fairly new political action committee created in December by a former staffer in former President Bill Clinton's administration. The PAC's first billboard targeted Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), a supporter and defender of President Donald Trump.

The PAC's founder told the Pensacola News Journal he plans to target more Republicans ahead of the 2018 midterm elections and already has several more anti-NRA billboards planned in other states.
