Black activists are angry this video of a college take over went viral

A video of the protests at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, has angered black activists who claim it was stolen and deceptively edited to misrepresent their actions.

The video shows angry student activists accusing the administration of not listening to their demands and accusing them of discrimination based on race.

“Whiteness is the most violent f***in’ system to ever breathe!” one protester on the video can be heard saying.

“I’m tellin’ you, you’re speakin’ to your ancestor, all right?" another protester yells. "We been here before you. We built these cities, we had civilization way before you ever had … comin’ out your caves.”

“I’m tired of white people talking about what black and brown people need," a female activist screamed in another portion of the video. "You don't know! I'm trying to let you know!"

Activists noted the video among their list of demands, saying, “We demand that the video created for Day of Absence and Day of Presence that was stolen by white supremacists and edited to expose and ridicule the students and staff be taken down by the administration by this Friday.”

College President George Bridges responded to the demands in a statement that began, "I’m George Bridges, I use he/him pronouns."

"Based on conversations with the attorney general’s office," Bridges' statement read, "the most likely course of action requires an investigation. We commit to launching an extensive forensic investigation of the theft of this video and to determining who stole it from the student. If that investigation yields a suspect, we will seek criminal charges against the individual in consultation with the attorney general."

The disturbances began when a professor objected to a Day of Absence activists' demand that would keep all whites off campus. They responded to his objection with protests demanding he be fired.

“We don’t care what terms you want to speak on," one student said to the professor. "This is not about you. We are not speaking on terms — on terms of white privilege. This is not a discussion. You have lost that one.”

Protests like the one at Evergreen have gotten so out of hand that even CNN host Fareed Zakaria had to scold liberals for what he said was a close-mindedness and intolerance to conservative ideas and voices.
