Fabio says don't give up your guns, blasts California's Prop 57: 'Cops are very demoralized

Actor Fabio Lanzoni says that when you give up your guns to the government, you're putting more power in the hands of politicians.

"Everybody comes here because of the American dream," Fabio said during an interview on Fox's "Varney & Co."

Referencing Nazi Germany, Lanzoni insinuated that disarmament led to Nazi takeover and the Holocaust.

"Look what happened to Nazi Germany," Lanzoni explained. "They took away all the guns from people and you see what happened."

Lanzoni later compared Europe's violence problem to that of the United States.

"Police [in Europe] have handguns," he said, "[and] the bad guys, they have rocket launchers, RPG, [and] hand grenades."

Slamming California Governor Jerry Brown's Proposition 57 — which was approved in 2016 and loosened prison parole rules, shrinking the prison population; opponents of the Proposition claimed that more lax prison guidelines would release potentially dangerous criminals due to misclassifications of non-violent crimes — Lanzoni said, "He is releasing tens of thousands of criminals back in the streets and also he lowered the crime into misdemeanor,” and added that "cops are very demoralized."

Warning that gun restrictions would result in similar circumstances that impacted Europe, Lanzoni issued a final admonishment.

"You saw it happen to Europe, the politicians in Europe," Lanzoni said.

"They neuter the law enforcement and now they have to be shot before they can even return the fire ... you don’t want this movie coming to a theater near you."
