Megyn Kelly and Sean Hannity say they are 'friends' after Twitter dust-up — but not everyone is buying it

"We're Irish. It's complicated."

After the dust settled from the media firestorm that followed Fox News host Sean Hannity’s accusation that fellow network anchor Megyn Kelly is a supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, the two hosts appeared to put their feud behind them.

Hannity lashed out at Kelly on Twitter Wednesday evening after she suggested that that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump does not “venture out to the unsafe spaces” and instead favors of programs such as the one hosted by “my friend at 10 o’clock.”

On Thursday evening, Kelly tweeted a picture with Hannity, captioned, “We’re Irish. It’s complicated” and that the pair remain friends.

Hannity promptly echoed Kelly’s sentiment.

Some Twitter users, however, weren’t convinced.

Hannity disputed claims that the two hosts were ordered by Fox News to resolve the tensions between them.

Hannity also elaborated on his personal style of “street martial arts.”

Kelly recently challenged Clinton to join her for an interview after the democratic nominee called her a “superb journalist.”
