Sanders Finally Admits That He Probably Won’t Be Democratic Nominee

“Where We Go From Here.”

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) contended Wednesday that he probably won’t be the Democratic nominee for president.

The self-proclaimed Democratic socialist has remained in the race despite being significantly behind in the delegate count. But when asked during an interview on C-SPAN whether or not he will speak at the Democratic Convention later this summer, Sanders finally admitted it’s not likely he will become the nominee.

“It doesn’t appear that I’m going to be the nominee so I’m not going to determine the scope of the convention,” Sanders said during the hour-long discussion.

While Sanders contended that he and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton have “real differences of opinions,” his campaign has participated in talks with hers on “almost a daily basis” in order to implore Clinton to take more progressive stances on certain issues, including health care.

“Our job now is to have her listen to what million of people in this country who supported me want to see happen,” Sanders said.

Sanders is set to give a speech Thursday in Manhattan, more than a dozen miles from his childhood home in Brooklyn. His campaign has titled the address, "Where We Go From Here."
