Trump Teases Another 'Powerful Endorsement,' Says Ted Cruz Is 'More Strident' Than Obama

Billionaire businessman Donald Trump said Tuesday that he has another "powerful endorsement" coming down the pipeline, just one week after the GOP presidential front-runner received the endorsement of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

"We have a very powerful endorsement coming today," Trump teased during an interview with MSNBC's "Morning Joe," without disclosing who the endorser might be.

The real estate mogul went on to bash fellow candidate Ted Cruz, saying that the Texas senator, who currently sits at second place in the polls, is a "liar" and is worse than President Barack Obama.

"Ted Cruz lies, he is a liar," Trump said. "That’s why nobody likes him. That’s why the Senate people won’t endorse him. That's why she stands on the middle of the Senate floor and can't make a deal with anybody. He looks like a jerk — he's standing all by himself."

"You know, there's something to say about having a little bit of ability to get other people to do things. You can't be a 'lone wolf' and stand there...that's sort of what we have right now as a president," Trump added. "We have a president that can't get anything done, so he keeps signing executive orders all over the place."

When asked by show co-host Mika Brzezinski if he just compared Cruz to Obama, Trump said that he believes "Cruz is actually more strident" than Obama.

"Nobody gets along with Ted, at least some people like Obama," Trump said. "Nobody likes Ted."

Going back to Tuesday's endorsement, Trump told Brzezinski that the public will "find out later today" who the endorser is.

"We have a powerful endorsement coming down today," Trump said. "So many people want to endorse us because they say Ted Cruz is wacky."
