Immediately following President Barack Obama's final State of the Union address, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) did not hold back, slamming the president for being "naive and childish" on national security and asserted that Obama did not understand the world in general.
"He doesn't understand the world. He simply doesn't understand the world even after being president for seven years," Hunter told TheBlaze Tuesday immediately after Obama's address. "He doesn't get the Middle East, he doesn't get that not everybody thinks like Americans."
"He doesn't understand that the rest of the world isn't like us," he continued. "The reality is, in the places where we have troops on the ground, they don't care about our diversity; they don't care about our free press. In fact, that's what they hate the most about us. The only thing that they respect is power, and the president doesn't know how to exercise his power."

"He doesn't get it," Hunter, 39, said. "He's naive and almost childish in his world views. And we've known this for ages, thank God this is the last one."
"I think he is full of baloney," Hunter told TheBlaze in an interview, choosing his words carefully. "He lives in a house of mirrors where reality does not intrude in anyway whatsoever in his world. There is no reality in Obama's world. None."
Besides issues of national security, Hunter said he noticed that Obama tended to "blame things on everybody while saying we can make things better."
"That's what he's been doing for seven years now," said Hunter. "He said, 'it's your fault, Republicans, we can make it better.' He demonizes and then says how he would do it better."
When walking into the Capitol Building Tuesday evening, Hunter said he didn't really have any expectations or hopes for the president's address.
"I don't care what he said. This is the worst president of my generation," Hunter, who was born in 1976 and has served in Congress since 2009, said. "It didn't matter in any way whatsoever. It was a waste of my time to be there, but I had to — it was my job."
"The world's falling apart around our ears. The working class in this country is no better off then they were seven years ago, Wall Street is making a heyday," he said. "That's what the president brought us — complete and utter chaos in the world, a stagnant economy for anybody making less than $200,000 here in the U.S., more billionaires and millionaires than we've ever seen ever. That's what we have. We have the biggest wage gap ever between the rich and the poor. We have Vladimir Putin and Syria and the Ukraine and Georgia."
Hunter also said the president "literally directly caused" the downfall of Syria and Iraq because of his "naivety and stupidity."
Hunter said he left the address "as quickly as possible."
