Sony Hackers Vow There's More to Come: 'Remember the 11th of September 2001

The Sony hackers could be planning a much larger attack in retaliation to the production company's film, "The Interview," slated for release on December 25.

Variety reported Tuesday the person or group responsible for the cyberattack is vowing a September 11-style attack when the the film makes its nationwide debut on Christmas Day.

"Soon all the world will see what an awful movie Sony Pictures Entertainment has made. The world will be full of fear," the message reportedly reads. "Remember the 11th of September 2001."

The "full message," which Variety published Tuesday, infers in somewhat broken English that its next strike (or strikes) will occur in movie theaters.

We will clearly show it to you at the very time and places “The Interview” be shown, including the premiere, how bitter fate those who seek fun in terror should be doomed to.

Soon all the world will see what an awful movie Sony Pictures Entertainment has made.

The world will be full of fear.

Remember the 11th of September 2001.

We recommend you to keep yourself distant from the places at that time.

(If your house is nearby, you’d better leave.)

Whatever comes in the coming days is called by the greed of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

All the world will denounce the SONY.

An FBI spokesperson did not immediately respond to TheBlaze. However, the federal crime bureau confirmed December 1 that it had launched an investigation into the Sony Pictures computer hacking, which resulted in the theft of employees' confidential information. The person or group responsible for the hacking also went as far as to directly threaten employees and their family members.

The cyberattack is thought to be the work of a group calling itself #GOP, which could mean "Guardians of Peace."
