Are You Letting Google Scan Your Email for Information on Your Bills?

It seems like Google already knows everything else about you, so why not let it remind you when your bills are due and how much you owe on them?

That's the new feature the company announced Tuesday on its Google+ social media platform.

"When you can't remember whether you've paid your bills — or you simply can't remember how much money you need to pay — you can now just ask Google. Tap the mic on the Google app and say, 'Show me my bills' or 'My bills due this week.' If you have the payment due date and amount in your Gmail, you’ll see a quick summary of upcoming and past bills," Google said. "Pretty handy, huh?"

Many users commented saying how much they liked the idea:

But others expressed concern that Google may have gone too far:

Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment from TheBlaze about concerns that scanning users' email for bill-pay information goes too far.
