Glenn Beck's Father Passes Away

Glenn Beck's Father Passes Away

"Times like these remind us what is important in life and Glenn and his wife are deeply grateful for your thoughts and prayers."

Glenn Beck's father passed away Saturday.

The following statement was issued by Mercury Radio Arts:

"It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that Glenn's father passed away at the age of 86. Glenn's father was a man who understood hard work, believed in the promise of America and will be missed by his children and grandchildren. Times like these remind us what is important in life and Glenn and his wife are deeply grateful for your thoughts and prayers. Glenn asks that, in lieu of flowers or donations, you would do one act of kindness for someone in your life and help spread the universal message of love.”

Beck posted the note below on Facebook as he flew from New York City to Washington State on Wednesday to be with family:

It has been a tough week. I was in NYC for a funeral of an “aunt”. Then last night I got a call from my sister Michelle. She said my father was in the hospital.

Hours ago the nurses said that we should all gather. Tonight I find myself flying to see my father as he heads back home to see his Father.

Tonight, I am chasing the sun and racing against the clock trying to arrive before his escorts do.

Pray for my sisters and children as they love dad and grandpa as much as I do.

May they live to feel just a second of the end of The Snow Angel.
