Christian Radio Host Accuses Disney of Inserting Covert Homosexual and Bestiality Themes in 'Frozen

"They're not going to be upfront with their pro-homosexual agenda..."

A Christian radio host accused Disney of embedding covert homosexual and bestiality themes into its Oscar-winning animated film "Frozen," warning parents to be wary of the entertainment company's perceived stance on same-sex relationships.

"I don't think anybody debates the fact that Disney is pro-homosexual," host Kevin Swanson told TheBlaze Tuesday.

Right Wing Watch, a liberal website that monitors "the right-wing movement," ignited interest in Swanson's Disney commentary this week after posting a recent segment from his radio program during which he lambasted the company.

"Man, how many children are taken into these things and how many Christians are taking their kids off to see the movie 'Frozen,' produced by an organization that is probably one of the most pro-homosexual organizations in the country?," Swanson asked on his "Generations Radio" show. "You wonder sometimes, I’m not a tinfoil hat conspiratorialist, but you wonder sometimes if maybe there’s something very evil happening here."

He continued, "If I was the devil, what would I do to really foul up an entire social system and do something really, really, really evil to 5- and 6- and 7-year-olds in Christian families around America?"

Swanson also spoke about indoctrination and said most parents wouldn't want their sons "turning into sodomites."

The radio host told TheBlaze that Disney's inclusion of a gay family in "Frozen" "wasn't obvious," but that it passed rather in a brief moment in the film.

"They're not going to be upfront with their pro-homosexual agenda -- not with 100 million 5-year-olds watching the movie," he said, referring to the brief presentation of the character Oaken in the movie.

"His family includes an adult male and four children," Swanson said. "It's just a very, very short 10-second excerpt from the film -- comes in very quickly and gone. You can hardly see."

A clip from "Frozen" shows Oaken referring to a family, then pointing to an adult male surrounded by what appear to be four children (at the 1:43 mark):

Other critics have commented on this same scene as well, with a writer for Policy Mic citing it as one of the numerous reasons she believes "Frozen" is the most progressive Disney movie ever. The version of the clip that was officially posted by Disney doesn't include the part when Oaken refers to the family.

It is possible, of course, that Oaken is simply referencing a random family that isn't his own and that Swanson and others are looking too deeply into it.

National Catholic Register blogger Steven D. Greydanus, for instance, said that there are other possibilities for the family's composition: "The adult male in the sauna, with his slim jaw and lack of facial hair, looks markedly younger than the mountain-sized, hirsute Oaken, and could be his oldest son. Next to him is a young woman who, given the conventions of animation, could be could be Oaken’s daughter or his wife — or, heck, the wife of the other guy, who could also be Oaken’s younger brother). It’s even possible that the family isn’t Oaken’s family at all; 'Hoo hoo! Hi family!' could mean 'Hi, random visiting family of customers.'"

But Greydanus wondered why Disney chose to insert the scene at all.

In a separate mention, Swanson also cited a song called "Fixer Upper" in which trolls sing about Kristoff, one of the male characters. The radio host called one of the lines "inappropriate" and a "lightly cloaked reference to bestiality."

The trolls sing: "So he’s a bit of a fixer-upper, So he’s got a few flaws, Like his peculiar brain, dear, His thing with the reindeer, That’s a little outside of nature’s laws!"

This, too, led Swanson to speak out.

"I think families just need to be very discerning especially when organizations like Disney are explicitly pro-homosexual in their stance," Swanson added.

The radio host also took issue with the headline Right Wing Watch used -- "Swanson: Disney's 'Frozen' Is A Satanic Push To Turn Kids Gay" -- calling it inaccurate.

Despite Swanson's negative views on the film, some have actually praised its purported Christian undertones.

Collin Garbarino, assistant history professor at Houston Baptist University, said he sees parallels between Dante’s “Inferno” and the central themes and story line present in “Frozen.” In an article about the subject, he wrote, “Disney’s ‘Frozen’ might be the most Christian movie that I have seen this year.”

Disney recently introduced a lesbian couple on one of its children's shows and cut funding from the Boy Scouts of America over its ban on gay scout leaders.

Emails to Disney representatives about these scenes in "Frozen" were not immediately returned.
