Veteran sportscaster Bob Costas gave his two cents on the ongoing controversy over the Washington Redskins moniker during halftime of the Sunday Night Football game between the Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys.

Suffice it to say, Costas is no fan of the NFL franchise's name.

"'Redskins' can’t possibly honor a heritage or noble character trait, nor can it possibly be considered a neutral term," Costas said. "It’s an insult, a slur, no matter how benign the present-day intent." (You can check out video of his full statement at the bottom of this post.)
