How You're Getting Involved in Today's 'Get TheBlaze' Day of Action

"Dish is looking better and better to this lifelong subscriber of yours!"

By now, you may have heard about the TheBlaze TV's "day of action" -- a movement encouraging the network's fans to contact their cable providers and request more options by adding TheBlaze TV.

The push falls on the same day that Al Jazeera America makes its debut in the United States.

Glenn Beck, who owns the network, has repeatedly called for "more voices, not less" in the national discourse. A staunch defender of the First Amendment, he says he has no desire to see Al Jazeera kicked off the air, but that viewers should have the choice between it and a pro-American alternative.

"48 million Americans are having their money taken out of their cable bill every month and sent over to the Middle East for that propaganda," Beck said.  "Call your cable operator and say, 'If you're going to [air] Al Jazeera and force me to pay for it, I'd like an American point of view...one that stands for the Constitution and the truth."

Blaze fans have called, taken to Twitter, Facebook, email, and even the radio to press their cable operators to carry TheBlaze TV.

Many praised DISH, Optimum TV, RCN, and a number of other providers that currently offer TheBlaze TV, while others complained that Time Warner, Comcast, DIRECTV and a number of others are willing to offer Al Jazeera but not a U.S.-based network.

Glenn Beck took to his television show Tuesday to discuss what exactly TheBlaze represents, in comparison to other networks.  Watch the moving monologue, below:

TheBlaze reached out to a number of cable providers who still don't carry TheBlaze TV for an official comment -- including DIRECTV, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, AT&T U-verse -- but not all were able to respond immediately.

Maureen Huff, the vice president of public relations for Time Warner Cable, told TheBlaze in an email: "To my knowledge, we’ve received no calls. We’ve had discussions regarding carriage of [TheBlaze], but we don’t have an agreement."
