On Tuesday, it was reported that President George W. Bush successfully underwent a heart procedure in Dallas, Texas. The minor surgery to unclog an artery went well, but it seems some who have disdain for the former president were hoping for an entirely different outcome.

While some critics tweeted lamentations that Bush survived, others simply took the opportunity to dismiss him as a murderer and a war criminal. Below, you'll find just 10 of the most vile and virulent responses to his heart surgery:

While this one no longer appears on @BanginBassist's Twitter feed (perhaps it was deleted), the message, as posted by Twitchy, read, "LOL it's too bad Bush didn't have any complications with his blocked artery.. piece of sh** should die. must be all that great Texas food!;)."
