Farrakhan Promises God Has 'Execution' Planned for America: A 'Savage,' 'Brutal' and 'Uncivilized' People and Nation

On Saturday, the Minister Louis Farrakhan began a 52-week sermon series entitled, "The Time and What Must Be Done." Originally announced in early January, the lecture series will air every Saturday at 6 p.m. CT. Intended to educate African Americans about building a better future and taking control of their destiny, it also has some seriously-apocalyptic undertones.

For example -- and like past sermons -- Farrakhan's introductory message had no shortage of anti-American sentiment, calling U.S. citizens "a savage people" while dismissing the country's current culture as "wild, untamed, uncivilized, uncultured [and] unrefined."

America, he claimed, is referred to in the Bible "as a wilderness, as Europe was a wilderness." He described the nation's description in the book as being comprised of caves, wild beasts and savages. Then, he juxtaposed this characterization against the U.S.'s current ascetics -- imagery that is among the most modern and vibrant in the world.

"Today in America, we have some of the most beautiful cities in the world, the greatest road system infrastructure...bridges, skyscrapers," the faith leader proclaimed. "So we can't say that this is a wilderness like ancient Europe was -- but this is a wilderness in that the first four letters of the word wilderness is 'wild,' and that which is wild, untamed, uncivilized, uncultured, unrefined -- that's the American way of life."

But Farrakhan wasn't done there. He also went after the people, calling them "savage" and "brutal." Additionally, he claimed that the U.S. has more jails than any nation on earth and that there are "more prisoners in prison than any nation on this earth." Weapons, too, are of a concern to Farrakhan, who seemed to condemn the notion that Americans have access to firearms.

"This nation has been built on violence," he continued. "Uncivilized, uncultivated, brutal, wild...and that's why the prophet gave America one of those names as a beast -- both of the book of Daniel and in the book of Revelations."

Here, Farrakhan appears to be speaking about Daniel 7 and Revelation 4 and his apparent belief that America is one of the beasts discussed within these Biblical chapters.

A few minutes later, the faith leader targeted the treatment of African Americans in the U.S., decrying caucasians for not enabling a system under which all citizens are treated equally.

"We are called citizens mockingly because we are not given the rights and privileges of the white citizens of this country," he noted. "Our poor people are fighting every day for justice. Even the trained lawyers who have learned law and stand in a court to fight for justice for any member of our race that feels that they need justice -- the judges look at that lawyer, the juries look at that lawyer -- and oft times our lawyers cannot get justice for us."

Near the end of his address, the fiery faith leader warned of America's impending doom -- a subject he has lectured about before. He claimed that despite his proclamations, he has "no joy in preaching doom."

"America, you have something to do to escape the execution that God has planned for you. I don't say this with joy in my heart," he told his audience. "I live in this country. I have no other country to go to -- although we in the nation of Islam are citizens in every Muslim country on this earth."
