'One of the greatest scandals in American history': Mark Levin's 'silent coup' claims are finally confirmed

In March 2017, LevinTV host Mark Levin pulled back the curtains and revealed a "silent coup d'etat" attempt against President Donald Trump. His explosive claims, which he repeated on his radio show and on Fox News' "Life, Liberty & Levin," were roundly mocked or dismissed as conspiracy theory. Nevertheless, Levin has never stopped speaking out in an effort to expose the shocking truth of what he calls "one of the greatest scandals in American history."

Nearly two years later, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe disclosed in a "60 Minutes" interview, that senior officials in the Trump administration discussed invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office. Levin said McCabe's account is evidence of his "silent coup" claims.

"Something remarkable happened," Levin said in a Facebook video Monday. "Former Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe confessed to helping lead a coup d'etat against the president of the United States."

"It gets worse and worse," he added. "The more we are learning the depths to which senior FBI officials, senior justice department officials, and others tried to reverse the course of history and reverse the course of your vote.

"This is a tremendous scandal and when the historians write their history books, they're going to view it as one of the greatest scandals in American history," Levin said. "This is a silent coup."
