Ilhan Omar’s husband wants divorce after alleged affair, claims she did marry her brother, sources say

On Wednesday's radio program, Glenn Beck discussed the latest in a long line of alleged scandals involving Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Ahmed Hirsi, the congresswoman's husband and father of her three children.

According to the New York Post, sources say Hirsi plans to file for divorce after a court filing alleged that Omar had an affair with a consultant to her campaign, Tim Mynett.

The National Legal and Policy Center filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission, claiming that Omar's congressional campaign gave up to $30,000 to Mynett and his consulting group for "travel expenses."

Power Line's Scott Johnsen wrote that his "highly reliable" sources told him that Hirsi claimed his wife "did indeed marry her brother (Ahmed Elmi) for fraudulent purposes."

"Well, her [Omar's] husband is starting to speak out because she cheated on him. Boy, does he seem to have a treasure trove of information," Glenn said. "Can you imagine if this guy starts talking?"

Glenn recapped Omar's background of alleged identity, marriage, immigration, and tax fraud.

He questioned why the mainstream media have been so silent on these developments.

"The silence from the media is doing great damage to our country. They are so unwilling to do their jobs. So complicit in allowing scandal after scandal after scandal, involving Ilhan Omar, to go completely ignored," he added.

"There's been a lot of circumstantial evidence to pour through, but the media still will not do their jobs. I don't know why she's so protected from the elites at the Times. The Post. CNN," Glenn continued. "I don't know why she's so protected in Washington, D.C. — unless it is the power she wields with CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood."

Glenn discussed Omar's involvement with CAIR, a group known for supporting terrorist organizations, including Hamas, and with Hormuud Telecom, a notorious supporter of al-Shabaab, whom the U.N. Security Council confirmed as the terrorist organization behind the deadliest terror attack in Somali's history in which 582 people were killed.

"We know now that Omar likes to fund-raise for CAIR," Glenn said. "The media doesn't seem to give a flying crap about CAIR — the unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case. But in an investigation that uncovered multiple groups here in the United States are funding of the terror organization known as Hamas, an organization whose sole responsibility is to kill Jews and destroy the state of Israel. Now, because of CAIR's involvement with the Holy Land Foundation, the FBI officially broke all ties with dealing with them. But despite this, Ilhan Omar continues to get a free pass for headlining fundraisers at posh CAIR galas. Why?"
