Graham Allen: Drew Brees' support for 'Bring your Bible to School' day is NOT anti-LGBTQ

On Monday's episode of "Dear America with Graham Allen," Graham and the crew discussed the recent skirmish between New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees, and the LBGTQ community following the NFL superstar's video promotion for "Bring Your Bible to School Day."

Brees, who is known for being outspoken about his Christian faith, has been taking heat since appearing in a Focus on the Family video advocating for children to bring their Bibles to school and "share God's love." He has been excoriated on social media for aligning himself with Focus on the Family, which many in the LGBTQ community consider an anti-gay hate group.

Brees responded through a video on Instagram, saying he wanted to clear the air and that he does "not support any groups that discriminate, or that have their own agendas that are trying to promote inequality."

Graham questioned why it's being considered "a big deal" for a Christian to encourage other Christians to carry a Bible. He asserted that disagreement does not "automatically equal hate," and that Brees doesn't owe anyone an apology.

"[Brees] didn't say anything wrong," Graham said. "Just because some people got bent out of shape about it, that's not your problem. That's their problem."
