This is an invasion

This is an invasion

People who break into this country against the consent of our government and harm Americans are not immigrants; they are invaders. With Congress finally returning from its long vacation, one would expect this growing invasion to be the top concern of legislators. It is the most important job of the federal government to protect citizens from outside harm, and it is also one of the most solvable policy issues. Yet it is covered up by the media and the political class.

Here are several more stories of illegal alien murder and rape just over the past week:

  • Julio Cesar Ayala, a suspected member of MS-13 from El Salvador, was caught by police on Saturday after he allegedly broke into an apartment last Wednesday and raped an 11-year-old girl in her sleep. Ayala was carrying a green card on him, but it’s unclear how he was allowed into this country. This is the quintessential violent demographic we have allowed into the country since 2014 under the guise of DACA and refugee resettlement. It will be interesting to find out if and how this fiend had a legitimate green card. So many of the violent young males who have flooded our country since 2014 have been given green cards because they are erroneously treated as refugees rather than invaders.
  • On Saturday, Neri Damian Cruz-Carmona, a 26-year-old illegal invader, crashed his Honda into a motorcycle while making a reckless left turn and killed Jamar Rashaun Beach in Raleigh, North Carolina. As is the case with many illegal alien vehicular homicides, the suspect initially fled the scene before being apprehended by police.
  • Last week, ICE announced that it had placed a detainer on Eduardo de la Lima Vargas, an illegal alien from Mexico being held on drunk driving and manslaughter charges after he killed a couple on a motorcycle in a drunk-driving homicide. Logan and Jessica Wilson were killed instantly when Vargas, who allegedly had a blood alcohol level of .10 even two hours later, ran through a red light and hit their motorcycle while it was making a left turn. Vargas lived in Marion County, Oregon, which is a sanctuary jurisdiction. The Wilsons leave behind three young orphans because the government failed to protect them from this invasion. According to the local deputy prosecutor, Vargas had a DUI conviction dating back to 2001, but he was placed in a diversion program and was never turned over to federal authorities.
  • Also last week, a pair of illegals from Guatemala, one of whom had eight prior driving offenses since 2014, rammed into a family on a road near Richmond, Virginia, and killed a four-year-old boy while severely wounding his parents and brother. Both suspects fled the scene immediately. The one who has been here for at least five years appears to have an anchor baby living in the country. They get to invade, kill our people, and unilaterally grab citizenship for their kids.

Folks, we have a crisis of criminal aliens, particularly drunk drivers on the road. In general, most states are not tough enough on drunk driving, but when it’s perpetrated by illegal aliens, it is 100 percent avoidable. How many more of these stories do we need to hear about repeat offenders who should never be here in the first place and who should be deported after the first incident, yet are allowed to remain in the country? These tragedies happen every day, and many perpetrators have absconded after offending, yet the media has been complicit in covering up the immigration history of many of the perpetrators because they know the deaths are avoidable.

Congress can pass legislation today requiring states to turn over all illegal aliens arrested for first-time driving offenses so they can be deported before they kill someone. Between punishing sanctuaries and ending identity theft, all of these crimes can be avoided.

When Roger Sherman, among the greatest of all the Founders, noted during the House debate on the Naturalization Act of 1790 that immigration powers were given over to the federal government to prevent states from bringing in undesirable aliens, he certainly never envisioned the carnage of sanctuary cities and the drunk-driving epidemic. It would be foreign to him and others of his time that we’d continue allowing aliens to reside here after committing crimes. “It was intended by the Convention, who framed the Constitution, that Congress should have the power of naturalization, in order to prevent particular States receiving citizens, and forcing them upon others who would not have received them in any other manner” (emphasis added), said Sherman.

Isn’t it time Congress finally clamped down on sanctuaries for murder and mayhem when they have the ability to remove these people before they harm Americans? Illegals murdering Americans inside our country is every bit as bad as if they created a standing army at our border to attack us. Either way, Congress owes it to the people to stop this invasion.
